It far outweighed any expectations I had . The emails clearly stated what was required , and although I was nervous , Sabari quickly put my nerves at ease . Everything was well thought out, including a plan b because of the weather . I really enjoyed being in a small group , the session was friendly and informal , we were encouraged to go at our own pace , with Sabari making suggestions that helped boost my confidence. I had the most wonderful experience and I am really looking forward to booking on for my next session. Sabari is an absolute gem.

Art has always been a part of my life , from broken up pieces of crayons and making a mess in the living room with colors I was privileged enough follow it to a stage in my life where I know it's purpose in my life and in the whole world itself. I have done works in many mediums, I have been learning watercolor for the last ten years or so. Watercolor is a medium that's brings a certain level of satisfaction in one's work. My previous experiences includes working as art teacher where I helped students to tailor their individualistic take on artistic practices and expression. One experiences ebb and flow with art, it's never a constant straight path but if we push it through it's like unlocking a language for yourself.

This was in the SAA magazine as a challenge and I just loved the photo. I couldn?t follow the step by step guide as I only use watercolour and it is very far from subjects I usually choose to paint. Nevertheless,I thoroughly enjoyed painting this fellow and I am quite pleased with the results.

I am trying to paint in watercolour without doing to much drawing first. I was pleased with this attempt. My Dad used to grow lovely roses and Sweer Williams. He always gave Mum red roses on her birthday or wedding anniversary. Sadly they both died a few years ago but painting these flowers brought back happy memories.

the ballet dancer was painted on Saunders Waterford Not watercolour paper. The skirt was created by washing on the colour and adding cling film to the wet paint. Ehen it is dry the cling film was removed leaving the beautiful markings and tissue like finish. I did this for my granddaughter who loves ballet.

I belong to a small group of fellow artists that formed during the pandemic to encourage one another while we were unable to take classes. We are still meeting monthly to share our artwork. Each month we have a topic and the month I created this, the topic was ?rain.? I splashed water on my kitchen counter and placed a pair of sunglasses on the water and took it from there!
